MapIt Links and Thumbnails
NAVTEQ’s print maps are both convenient and MapIt links and Thumbnail Maps allow you to display the location of a specific POI. Both MapIt Links and Thumbnail Maps link back to your main map page so users always remain on your site.
Sample MapIt link :
www.nameofcvbwebsite.com/map.html?clientid=12345
In the above link you will see the number ‘12345’. This number is
an example of a Client ID, which all your POIs have. When you
implement MapIt links this is where the Client ID of your POIs will
go so if Joe’s Diner has a Client ID of 34 the MapIt link will look
like this:
www.nameofcvbwebsite.com/map.html?clientid=34
Sample Thumbnail Map:
In the same way as MapIt links worked, each member or business has a client ID and it just needs to be placed in the POI parameter space in the html for the Thumbnail Maps.
